Blood Moon Eclipse

It is very rare, that four full blood moon eclipses occur after each another. The event is called tetrad and the last lunar eclipse will take part on September 28th, this year. Next tetrad will occur in 2032-2033.

According to the information from NASA, there are two lunar eclipses per year, every 6 months.

Why is it called blood moon eclipse?

When it comes to lunar eclipse, the term blood moon became very popular. During the total lunar eclipse, the direct light from the Sun is blocked by the Moon. This light, however has traveled through the atmosphere first and that is the reason, why sometimes is the moon red or brownish.

Blood moon prophecies and believes

Some people believe that the blood moon eclipse has some special significance. It is because the eclipses are strangely happening around same period of the time as important Jewish festivals. The blood moon eclipse today, is at the same time as Pesach. Pesach, or Passsover is festival, when Jewish community celebrate this as a memorial of their liberation by God from slavery in Egypt and their freedom as a nation under the leadership of Moses

As always, some people came up with some (crazy) theories. These theories are emphasized even more because of the events in the history, the tetrad happened also in 1493 when all Jews were deported from Spain. Another tetrad happened in 1949 when the Israel as a state was established. Another tetrad happened in 1967, when the Six-Day War was started.
